Specifically, information that would help the people working out of the Northwest Facility and the facility located at 3200 S. Kedzie. Both facilities are Streets and Sanitation facilities. The latter you can read about in the story of Fernando Mendez.

Eventually the Northwest Facility was cleaned up and a new building was erected. Several inches of contaminated dirt were removed and then taken to a facility that could burn dirt.

Here you can find an article that we left intact so that you can get the full flavor of what the problem is about. Credit is hereby given to it's author(s) and the copyright remains with the same.

Companies are taking note of consumer demand by increasingly marketing products that don't contain the dangerous chemical BPA, which can leech from plastic products into foods, beverages, and the environment.

Here is an assortment of resources for locating and buying BPA-free products:

• Amazon.com's BPA-free section lists water bottles, baby bottles, and sippy cups. (However, I will be offering glass water bottles this summer with neoprene sleeves to protect them from breaking. So if you can hold out till then I would strongly recommend doing that as glass is the safest and most inert way to store your water, and far better than ANY plastic.)

• Rubbermaid says that some of its food storage containers and water bottles contain BPA, while others do not.

• Nalgene now offers BPA-free water bottles.

• Brita, which makes water filtration products, says that its pitchers and filters don't contain BPA.

• SC Johnson, which makes Saran brand wraps and Ziploc bags and containers, says that it doesn't use BPA in its products.

• The Children's Health Environmental Coalition offers tips for how to spot plastic household products with and without BPA.

• Consumer Reports describes its BPA test results and provides advice on choosing safe plastics.

• The Z Recommends blog posted an updated guide in February that lists children's feeding products that don't contain BPA.

• BPA-free products have even appeared on eBay.

Sources:

U.S. News and World Report May 2, 2008

Were You Aware… 80% of Your Immune System is Located in Your Digestive System?

So, to effectively promote your immune system health, you need to look no further than your intestinal tract. Probiotics (Greek “for life’ can be a great way to start promoting your digestive health and overall health as well.

Find Out More

Dr. Mercola's Comments:

BPA is an estrogen-mimicking chemical used to make hard plastics and epoxy resins, found in numerous products that you probably use every day, including:

Polycarbonate plastic baby bottles

Large water-cooler containers and sports bottles

Bottle tops

Microwave-oven dishes

Canned-food liners

Some dental sealants for children

Water supply pipes

The use of BPA is so pervasive -- industry uses more than 6 billion pounds of BPA a year -- that scientists have found that 95 percent of people tested have dangerous levels of BPA in their bodies.
Some of the biggest victims in all are your children, who may be exposed to the chemical while in utero, and quite literally “fed” the chemical via plastic baby bottles and toys (which they often put in their mouths).
A major problem with BPA is that it doesn’t stay in the plastic. It leeches into whatever food or beverage you put in a plastic container, canned good, or plastic baby bottle. Even worse, if you microwave the containers or bottles, or place hot liquids or food into them, BPA is released 55 times more rapidly!
The Good News and the Bad News

On the upside, BPA supposedly does not stay in your body long after you’re exposed. The bad news is that the chemical is so pervasive that scientists believe you’re simply being continually exposed to it from food, air, dust, and even just by touching items that contain BPA. Hence, your exposure is greater than what your body can dispose of on a regular basis and levels can rise to the point of causing biological harm.
BPA mimics the sex hormone estradiol, which can trigger major changes in your body.

According to the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy’s Smart Plastics Guide, adverse effects from BPA exposure include:

Structural damage to your brain

Hyperactivity, increased aggressiveness, and impaired learning

Increased fat formation and risk of obesity

Altered immune function

Early puberty, stimulation of mammary gland development, disrupted reproductive cycles, and ovarian dysfunction

Changes in gender-specific behavior, and abnormal sexual behavior

Stimulation of prostate cancer cells

Increased prostate size, and decreased sperm production

Of 115 published animal studies, 81 percent found significant effects from even low-level exposure to BPA, so there’s probably no real safe limit.

As a side note, NONE of the 11 industry-funded studies found any significant effects, whereas 90 percent of the government-funded studies did. Yet another piece of “coincidental evidence” that shows the power of money. Always check who funded the study before drawing your final conclusions about the results.

Making Healthier Choices in a Toxic World

Sadly, even if BPA does eventually get restricted or banned (as Canada is currently proposing), there are countless other dangerous chemicals still out there. The EPA approves new man-made chemicals to the tune of some 700 every year!

Still, every step you take toward reducing or eliminating a toxin from your life is a good one and well worth the effort, I believe. Personally, I do not wait for a government restriction to begin reducing my exposure to BPA. The evidence that has amassed thus far is enough to convince me.
To be fair, you probably can’t completely eliminate your exposure to BPA, even if you decide to move to Canada (since it’s likely in the air, water, and food supply too), but you can certainly reduce it by eliminating the most obvious culprits.

The following tips will not only reduce your exposure to BPA, but also to many of the other dangerous plastics chemicals as well.

10 Tips to Reduce Your Exposure to BPA

Only use glass baby bottles and dishes for your baby. If you use a bottle to carry your water in, hold out for the one we are introducing in about 10-12 weeks, as it will be the only one on the market for this purpose.

Give your baby natural fabric toys instead of plastic ones

Store your food and beverages in glass -- NOT plastic -- containers

IF you choose to use a microwave, don’t microwave food in a plastic container

Stop buying and consuming canned foods and drinks

Avoid using plastic wrap (and never microwave anything covered in it)

Get rid of your plastic dishes and cups, and replace them with glass varieties

If you opt to use plastic kitchenware, at least get rid of the older, scratched-up varieties, avoid putting them in the dishwasher, and don’t wash them with harsh detergents, as these things can cause more chemicals to leach into your food

Avoid using bottled water; filter your own using a reverse osmosis filter instead

Before allowing a dental sealant to be applied to you, or your children’s, teeth, ask your dentist to verify that it does not contain BPA

Look at the Plastic Recycling Labels

There’s no getting around reading labels these days, and this is no exception.

In the event that you do opt to use plastic containers for your food, be sure to avoid those marked on the bottom with the recycling label No. 7, as these varieties may contain BPA.
Containers marked with the recycling labels No. 1, No. 2, and No. 4 do not contain BPA (however they may contain other unsavory chemicals that you’re best off avoiding by using glass instead).

For even more information about plastic recycling symbols, please review Do You Know What Plastic Recycling Symbols Mean? from last month’s newsletter.

Related Articles:

How Safe is Your Food Container?
Don't Put Your Coffee in Plastic Cups
Nalgene Bottles Pulled From Shelves

You can visit this website and find a wealth of information relating to the health and well being of an individual.

© Copyright 2008 Dr. Joseph Mercola.
Here's how some of the construction went.

On April 27, 2008 Wayne was contacted and told about some headstones on the parkway. He had to ask, "Headstones? You mean the objects that are at a cemetery?" The reply from this community resident was "Yes. Exactly!"

Wayne told this resident that to his knowledge, the parkway was public property and as such, one is not suppose to alter the parkway due to ordinances that are in effect. He called 3-1-1 to confirm and then when he met with the community resident, he reiterated what he was told.

Time to Visit the 29th Ward Streets and Sanitation Office

Wayne stopped by the office and talked with the clerk. Essentially he told him the address - the 2200 block of North Mulligan - and asked to have something done about it because community residents were getting rather upset looking at the three headstones.<img style="border-top-width: 0px;
The clerk said something would be done and he would have them removed.

Here are a couple other pictures showing the parkway and last headstone. <img style="border-top-width: 0px; Now out of respect for those that have served this country, we believe they should be admired and paid respect, however, the parkway for any street is not the location for such respect. They really belong in the cemetery.

It also seems that the owner of the headstones took it upon himself to alter the parkway even further by removing a new sidewalk and replacing it with stones.

<img style="border-top-width: 0px;

It's the 29th Ward and Carothers Just Don't Give a Damn

What do you expect from a guy that stole his first election? Visit this link. He's a Daley crony from the word go, as was his father who was an alderman here in Chicago that was indicted and found guilty, serving several years in prison.

Carothers could care less about the north end of the 29th Ward, which is mostly Hispanic, other than to make sure he gives away gifts at Christmas time. You see, he does not want to step on any toes of the Hispanic Democratic Organization - those are Daley's guys and girls who are involved in corruption! However, even Carothers should draw a line somewhere when it comes to posting headstones on the public way!

Chicago Board of Elections Refuses FOIA request

<IMG style="BORDER-RIGHT: 0px; Prior to the mid 1960's, government would keep data on people but refused to let any information out as to what type of information they were storing on you. The Freedom of Information Act, established around 1966 or so, was instituted by Congress and passed. The states soon followed in suit.

The Freedom of Information Act (labeled as FOIA) allows you to get information from government.

As technology became incorporated into the workplace, especially in government, the procurement of information took different form. Again, the ones to lead the way was the Federal government.

Here is an excerpt from the Federal Communications Commission:

The Electronic Freedom of Information Act Amendments of 1996 expanded the scope of the FOIA to encompass electronic records and require the creation of "electronic reading rooms" to make records more easily and widely available to the public. Most recently in December 2005, Executive Order 13392, "Improving Agency Disclosure of Information," reaffirmed that FOIA "has provided an important means through which the public can obtain information regarding the activities of Federal agencies" and required Federal agencies to make their FOIA programs "citizen-centered and results-oriented."

_______________

After every election, Wayne files a FOIA with the Board of Election Commissioners ("BOEC" to get certain pieces of information regarding an election.

When Carothers ran against Floyd Thomas, he won by the absentee vote. A FOIA was filed and paperwork was received from the Board of Election Commissioners in Chicago. The analysis showed that 98% of the applications had errors. The Board has since refused to give Wayne a copy of any of this information.

We feel that the Board of Election Commissioners is wrong in their approach and potentially in violation of 42 Federal Code. Anyone who is desirous of reviewing how the board computed their vote totals should be able to but without information regarding absentee vote, it is virtually impossible to do so.

The Board is flat out wrong in its decision not to hand over any of these applications.

Why even bother asking for information? Read this.

Did you hear about the big new deal? I'm talking about the deal that
will make the whole USA one big hot spot?

In case you didn't see the story here's what's happening.
Sprint and Clearwire have joined forces to build a new 'WiMax'
network.Wi-Max is a new wireless technology made to reach way beyond
anything in place today. Simply put, Wi-Max is Wi-Fi on steroids.

Here's what I mean:
Bluetooth technology will work up to a distance of about 30 feet.
A Wi-Fi signal will work up to a distance of about 300 feet.
Now get ready for this. WiMax will work up to a distance of
3 miles from a mobile base and up to 30 miles from a stationary
base! Did you get that? 30 MILES !!!

(If you want to know more about Wi-Fi and Wi-Max I recently posted
an article about this technology at http://ezinearticles.com/?id=1083187.)

The idea is to cover whole metropolitan cities with a Wi-Max signal.
The goal is to make the USA one great big hot spot. This means we're
all going to get blanketed with wireless radiation whether we like
it or not 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This giant network will have "open access" meaning anyone
with a compatible device will be able to access it.
Web applications like email and videos will also be supported.
So it'll be very popular and no doubt will open up wireless access
to a much larger segment of the population.

The founding companies hope to have Wi-Max services available to
half the U.S. population by 2010 and the whole USA shortly thereafter.

Who's involved in this giant scheme besides Sprint and Clearwire?
Well, Comcast is contributing $1.05 billion, Intel is contributing
$1 billion, Time Warner Cable is throwing in $550 million and Google
another $500 million. Google has already invested $600 million in
Clearwire previously.

So those are your major players in this massive electropollution-
producing machine. You can figure out why they're kicking in so
much money by what they do. They know this is going to be a
massive market and they want to capitalize.

We've got a lot of work to do to educate others. You know, it's
30 miles of Wi-Max today but it'll be 300 miles of something else
in a year to two. That's just what technology does. Especially when
there's no one around to look out for the safety of all those who
will be blanketed by this giant Wi-Max cloud. Where are you, FDA?

It's paramount that you protect yourself from this invisible
but deadly toxin. It's coming and you can't stop it. But you can
protect yourself.

If you would like to know how give me a call.

I answer my phone personally and I'd be happy to take your call.

So don't mess around any longer. Be proactive. Take action. Call me
at the number below.

Our thanks are extended to Lynn Quiring for providing us with the following information.

Here's another study linking cell phones to brain cancer. In a recent issue of the peer-reviewed journal Occupational Environmental Medicine a link was shown between cell phone use and brain cancer. Here are some of the findings:

1. Using a cell phone for more than 10 years increases the risk of getting brain cancer.

2. People using a cell phone for 10 years or more are twice as likely to develop a tumor on the same side of the head where the handset is used most often.

3. Using a cell phone just one hour a day over a 10-year period is enough to increase the risk of brain cancer

4. Children should not use a cell phone at all

5. International standards to protects users from radiation are "not safe" and need to be revised.

6. Subjects using cell phones for 10 years or more were 20% more likely to develop acoustic neuroma (a benign tumor of the auditory nerve).

7. Subjects using cell phones for 10 years or more were 30% more
 likely to develop malignant gliomas.

Clearly, once again, these findings present compelling information linking cell phone use to brain cancer.

Don't take the use of wireless technology lightly. It is a very real and relevant danger. Protect yourself and your family and don't let your kids use a cell phone unless it's an emergency.

I know for a fact that even after subtracting the new voter point of fraud - the early ballot - and the absentee voters ballot, which the board of elections here in Chicago refused to let me see the application of ever since I exposed that 98% of the applications had error and a ballot should never have been sent out, I did not see large lines of people that would constitute even 7,000 voters in the entire 3rd District of the State of Illinois and that included polling places that had three precincts.

Now there is a new DVD out that addresses this. To see the information, click on this link.

Alternative Health Care Organizations

Please find below an alphabetized list of Alternative Health Care organizations that you might like to contact. If you find the data of any organization to be in error then please let me know so that I can update the list. Also, I have opened a forum that you can visit by clicking on this link. I have arranged the forum so that you can post your comments on any organization you find below. Thank you for your input.

Just as a country that seeks continued existence, it must be in a constant state of preparedness to face all kinds of threats and dangers from external and internal sources. If it fails to defend itself, no matter how well-developed and advanced a nation may be, it could be destroyed with the launching of a military offensive against it or even a well-directed and unanticipated terrorist act. The human body also has unseen enemies that are more resilient than others. In today's age of environmental toxins, viral and bacterial infections and the myriad of allergens that we are exposed to on a daily basis, serious measures must be taken to guard against them and to keep our internal defense system fully functional to protect ourselves against these threats.

The human body is made up of atoms. All atoms contain a nucleus and have electrons that circulate around the central body. Atoms connect to each other to form molecules by sharing or exchanging their electrons. In an example using water, it is formed by three atoms: two hydrogen and one oxygen. The electrons they share are locked into a stable compound making it difficult to break down. However, in some compounds, there is a "free radical," an electron that is not held firmly in the compound and so is "free" to break away and attach to another compound or body tissue. When they combine with another tissue, free radicals oxidize chemicals that form tissue, like oxygen turning iron to rust. Just as rust does not possess the strength of iron, oxidized tissues lose strength when they are damaged by oxidation. These free radicals are highly reactive chemical molecules, causing tissue damage and destructive effects upon the human body. Your body has built-in defenses against free radicals but they can be overwhelmed by the effects of stress, environmental pollutants, and age.

Western medicine relies on aggressive prescription drugs to deal with many problems related to immune-system dysfunction. Unfortunately, these methods often result in unwanted and even dangerous side effects. And natural pills only provide fleeting, inconsistent results.

Ayurveda, the science of life, prevention, and longevity, is the oldest and most holistic and comprehensive medical system available. Its fundamentals can be found in Hindu scriptures called the Vedas - the ancient Indian books of wisdom written over 5,000 years ago. Ayurveda uses the inherent principles of nature to help maintain health in a person by keeping the individual's body, mind, and spirit in perfect equilibrium with nature.

India Herbs has a seasoned group of Ayurvedic doctors specialized in Vajikarana, one of the eight major specialties of Ayurveda. Vajikarana is "a process or a drug, which make a man as healthy as a ox and able to undergo many hours of physical rigors." Vajikarana prescribes the therapeutic use of various herbal and tonic preparations for enhancing the capabilities and vigor of your immune system while strengthening the body and overall well-being.

India Herbs' Vajikarana scientists combine a proprietary herbal formula based on centuries' old wisdom with advice on diet, exercise, mental training, and relaxation to help men and women reach their peak and overcome their overall health concerns through safe, natural means.

The ingredients in Cardiofy comprise a Proprietary Blend that goes to work directly on the entire cardiovascular system with positive impact on hormonal levels, blood flow, and core energy. Simply take one Cardiofy capsule two times per day to maintain and intensify these effects on your cardiovascular system over time. For optimal results, please incorporate lifestyle guidance provided to you through free consultation with our staff of Ayurveda doctors.

Your Cardiovascular System

The heart, blood vessels, and blood comprise your cardiovascular system. Blood (shown in red) moving from heart delivers oxygen and nutrients to every part of the body. On the return trip, the blood (shown in blue) picks up waste products so that your body can get rid of them.

Your heart is a muscle about the size of a clenched fist. It contracts and relaxes about 70 times a minute at rest (more if you are exercising), beats about 30,000,000 times a year, and pumps about 4,000 gallons of blood daily through its chambers to all parts of the body. Your blood travels through a rubbery collection of big and small vessels. If strung together end to end, they can stretch 60,000 miles (enough to circle the globe 2 1/2 times)!

As you inhale, air is sent down to your lungs. Blood is pumped from the heart through the pulmonary artery to your lungs where carbon dioxide is removed from it and oxygen is mixed in with it. The oxygenated blood is carried back to the heart through the pulmonary vein. The arteries carry blood away from your heart under high pressure to smaller and smaller branched tubes called capillaries. This delivers oxygen to all the cells in your body including bones, skin, and all organs. Veins bring oxygen-depleted blood back to the heart.

Your blood is mostly comprised of a colorless liquid called plasma. Red blood cells (which give blood its red appearance) deliver oxygen to cells and carry back waste gases in exchange. White blood cells attack and kill germs and Platelets cells help your body repair itself after injury.

Your cardiovascular system is a beautiful symphony which sustains your life. Often it is taken for granted and little is done to ensure its long-term performance. Lack of preventive care will transform your cardiovascular system into a time bomb.

Cardiovascular Disorders
In 2004, cardiovascular diseases claimed 869,724 lives in the United States (36.3% of all deaths). 148,000 lives belonged to Americans under 65. According to 2005 estimates from the American Heart Association, 80,700,000 people in the United States have one or more forms of cardiovascular disease:

1) High Blood Pressure - 73,000,000

High blood pressure puts added force against the artery walls which overtime damages the arteries making them more vulnerable to the narrowing and plaque build up associated with atherosclerosis.

2) Coronary Heart Disease (caused by atherosclerosis, the narrowing of the coronary arteries due to fatty buildups of plaque which blocks the flow of blood to heart muscle thus depriving the heart of oxygen. It is likely to cause Chest Pain and / or Heart Attack) - 16,000,000

Myocardial Infraction (acute heart attack occurs when a clot or spasm blocks an already narrowed coronary artery, restricting oxygen to a portion of heart muscle resulting in permanent injury) - 8,100,000

Angina Pectoris (chest pain or discomfort caused by reduced blood supply to the heart muscle) - 9,100,000

An estimated 1,200,000 Americans will have a new or recurrent coronary attack this year, and about 310,000 will die as a result.

3) Stroke (occurs when a blood vessel in the brain is blocked or bursts) - 5,800,000

Without blood and the oxygen it carries, part of the brain starts to die and the part of the body controlled by the damaged area of the brain won't work properly.

Brain damage can begin within minutes of a stroke.

4) Heart Failure (the heart does not pump as well as it should) - 5,300,000

About 550,000 people are diagnosed with heart failure each year.

It is the leading cause of hospitalization in people older than 65.

5) Arrhythmia (Abnormal Heart Rhythm) - more than 850,000 Americans are hospitalized for an Arrhythmia each year. It is caused by many factors including:

Coronary Heart Disease

Electrolyte imbalance in your blood (such as sodium or potassium)

Changes in your heart muscle

Injury from a heart attack

Healing process after heart surgery

6) Aortic Aneurysm (bulge in a section of the aorta which can burst causing serious bleeding which can lead to death within minutes) - approximately 176,000 Americans are affected annually leading to 15,000 deaths per year.

Medical problems such as high blood pressure and atherosclerosis weakening artery walls as well as wear and tear that occurs with aging can result in outward bulging of the aortic wall.

The slower flow of blood in the bulging area can cause clots to form. If a blood clots breaks off in the chest area, it can travel to the brain and cause a stroke. If blood clots break off in the belly area, they can block blood flow to the belly or legs.

Risk Factors
As of 2006, 51% of men and 40% of women at age 50 in the United States will develop cardiovascular disease during their lifetime. The primary determinants of risk are:

Smoking - Smokers' risk of developing coronary heart disease is 2–4 times that of nonsmokers. Cigarette smoking also acts with other risk factors to greatly increase the risk for coronary heart disease.

High Cholesterol - As blood cholesterol rises, so does risk of coronary heart disease. When other risk factors (such as high blood pressure and tobacco smoke) are present, this risk increases even more. A person's cholesterol level is also affected by age, sex, heredity and diet.

High Blood Pressure - High blood pressure increases the heart's workload, causing the heart to thicken and become stiffer. It also increases your risk of stroke, heart attack, kidney failure, and congestive heart failure. When high blood pressure exists with obesity, smoking, high blood cholesterol levels or diabetes, the risk of heart attack and stroke increases several times.

Physical Inactivity - An inactive lifestyle is a risk factor for coronary heart disease. Regular, moderate-to-vigorous physical activity helps prevent heart and blood vessel disease. The more vigorous the activity, the greater your benefits. However, even moderate-intensity activities help if done regularly and long term. Physical activity can help control blood cholesterol, diabetes and obesity, as well as help lower blood pressure.

Obesity / Excess Weight - People who have excess body fat (especially if a lot of it is on the waist) are more likely to develop heart disease and stroke even if they have no other risk factors. Excess weight increases the heart's work. It also raises blood pressure and blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and lowers HDL ("good" cholesterol levels. Diabetes is more likely to develop. By losing even as few as 10 pounds, you can lower your heart disease risk.

Diabetes Mellitus - Diabetes seriously increases your risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Even when glucose (blood sugar) levels are under control, diabetes increases the risk of heart disease and stroke. The risks are even greater if blood sugar is not well controlled. Roughly 67% of men and 57% of women with diabetes at age 50 will develop cardiovascular disease by age 75. About three-quarters of diabetics die of some form of heart or blood vessel disease. If you have diabetes, it's extremely important to work with your healthcare provider to manage it and control any other risk factors you can.

Stress - Individual response to stress may be a contributing factor. Some scientists have noted a relationship between coronary heart disease risk and stress in a person's life, their health behavior, and socioeconomic status. These factors may affect established risk factors. For example, people under stress tend to overeat, smoke more, and increase alcohol consumption.

Alcohol - Drinking too much alcohol can raise blood pressure, cause heart failure, and lead to stroke. It can contribute to high triglycerides, cancer and other diseases, and produce irregular heartbeat. It contributes to obesity, alcoholism, suicide, and accidents. However the risk of heart disease in people who drink moderate amounts of alcohol (an average of one drink for women or two drinks for men per day) is lower than in nondrinkers. One drink is defined as 1-1/2 fluid ounces (fl oz) of 80-proof spirits (such as bourbon, Scotch, vodka, gin, etc.), 1 fl oz of 100-proof spirits, 4 fl oz of wine or 12 fl oz of beer. It is not recommended that nondrinkers start using alcohol or that drinkers increase the amount they drink to lower risk of cardiovascular disease.

If you reach the age of 50 with none of the above risk factors, the lifetime risk of cardiovascular disease is just 5% for men and 8% for women. There is a good chance the you will live into your 90s.

If the age of 50 is reached with two or more risk factors, then lifetime risk of cardiovascular disease jumps to 69% for men and 50% for women. The median survival rate for men and women with two risk factors is a decade shorter than the ones with none.

Symptoms
The following symptoms are indicative of various cardiovascular diseases:

Ayurvedic Medicine

Ayurveda, the science of life, prevention and longevity, is the oldest and most holistic and comprehensive medical system available.

India Herbs has a seasoned group of Ayurvedic doctors specialized in Kaya Chikitsa, one of the eight major specialties of Ayurveda that deals with Internal Medicine. It is the branch of Ayurveda that offers therapies for purification and detoxification. Kaya Chikitsa dwells deep into defining the root cause of a disease and prescribes the therapeutic use of various herbal medicines and holistic treatments for enhancing the cardiovascular capabilities while strengthening the body and overall well-being.

India Herbs' Kaya Chikitsa doctors combine a proprietary herbal formula based on centuries' old wisdom with advice on diet, exercise, mental training, and relaxation to help individuals attain their peak cardiovascular health and overcome health concerns through safe, natural means.

Recommendations
You can optimize your long-term cardiovascular health by:

1) Reversing Damage - Years of stressful living caused damage to your cardiovascular system. To help reverse this, Cardiofy releases hundreds of phytonutrients that act at the molecular level to improve blood circulation, normalize lipid metabolism, regulate cholesterol and triglyceride levels, stimulate liver functions, reduce platelet aggregation, strengthen blood vessels, minimize heart stress, energize heart tissue, and avert hypertension.

2) Avoiding Saturated Fat - Saturated fat is the main dietary cause of high blood cholesterol. Foods to avoid include beef, veal, lamb, pork, lard, poultry fat, butter, cream, milk, cheeses, whole dairy products, two percent milk, coconut, coconut oil, palm oil, tropical oils, and cocoa butter.

3) Avoiding Hydrogenated Fat - Hydrogenated fats raise blood cholesterol. Foods to avoid include margarine and shortening.

4) Avoiding Trans-Fatty Acids - Trans-fatty Acids raise blood cholesterol. Foods to avoid include french fries, doughnuts, cookies, crackers, muffins, pies, and cakes.

5) Consuming Unsaturated Fats - Getting between 25% to 35% of your calories from unsaturated fats will help lower your blood cholesterol level. Foods to consume include salmon, trout, herring, avocados, olives, walnuts, and liquid vegetable oils (soybean, corn, safflower, canola, and sunflower).

6) Reducing Sugar Intake - Cut back on beverages and foods with added sugars to lower your calorie intake and help control your weight. Examples of added sugars are sucrose, glucose, fructose, maltose, dextrose, corn syrups, high-fructose corn syrup, concentrated fruit juice, and honey.

7) Minimizing Salt Intake - Foods low in salt lower your risk of high blood pressure. Strive to consume less than 1,500 mg of salt daily. Choose "reduced-sodium" processed foods and limit soy sauce, steak sauce, Worcestershire sauce, flavored seasoning salts, pickles, and olives. Use lemon juice, citrus zest, and hot chilies instead for flavoring. Rinse canned tuna and salmon, feta cheese, and capers to remove excess sodium.

8) Increasing Fiber Intake - When eaten regularly as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, soluble fiber helps to lower blood cholesterol and may also reduce the risk of diabetes and colon and rectal cancers. For every 1,000 calories in your diet, 14 grams of fiber (in both soluble and insoluble forms) should be eaten. Foods high in soluble fibers includes oat bran, oatmeal, beans, peas, rice bran, barley, citrus fruits, strawberries, and apple pulp. Foods high in insoluble fibers include whole-wheat breads, wheat cereals, wheat bran, cabbage, beets, carrots, Brussels sprouts, turnips, cauliflower, and apple skin. Replace low-fiber foods (white bread, white rice, candy and chips) with fiber-rich foods (whole-grain bread, brown rice, fruits and vegetables). Eat more raw vegetables and fresh fruits. Eat high-fiber foods at every meal.

9) Drinking Water - Drink six to eight z glasses of water a day to ensure fiber in the diet is properly digested and fat loss is optimized.

10) Exercising Daily - A minimum of 30 minutes of moderate exercise every day will help you maintain optimal weight, keep off weight you lose, and improve physical and cardiovascular fitness.
